ISSUFO HALO

Issufo Halo received his PhD in 2013, from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Currently works as a production scientist, physical oceanographer at the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, in Cape Town. From 2015 to 2021 he lectured  oceanography in the Department of Conservation and Marine Sciences, at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, in Cape Town. He is a research associate to the Nansen-Tutu Centre for Marine Environmental Research, in the Department of Oceanography, University of Cape Town. He is an associate editor to the Western Indian Ocean Journal of Marine Science. Most recently (2024) he was recipient of the Bjerknes Visting Fellow Grant by the Bjerknes Center for Climate Research in Bergen, Norway. His research interest is on regional modelling of oceanic mesoscale circulation in the greater Agulhas Current system.
